Automated tagging in the Wavo platform makes organizing campaign data easy for music marketers. This tool makes the process of tying investment back to artists more efficient and accurate. With just a few clicks, users can quickly and easily label their campaigns and ensure they are properly organized, easily searchable and ready to analyze. All while allowing users to save time, increase efficiency, and improve the overall organization of their marketing campaigns.
How Automated Tagging Works
Automated Tagging suggests Artist and ISRC tags by fuzzy matching campaign names, with tracks and artists that exist on Spotify. Any matches will result in suggested tags for the user to apply to their campaigns.
The automation runs every day at 00:00 AM EST, where suggested tags for new campaigns will become available.
To assist users in verifying and applying suggested tags, tags that have a high match likelihood are denoted in green, whereas tags with a lower match likelihood are denoted in yellow.
Automated tagging is designed to handle an array of campaign name formats and even misspellings, but it is still recommended to use a consistent campaign naming convention with delimiters where possible. For example: Artist Name - Track Name - ISRC.
How to get started with Automated Tagging
Using the automated tagging tool is a straightforward process that can be completed in, quite literally, just the click of a button!
Before anything, make sure that you have your marketing data sources connected and that you've ingested new campaigns into the Wavo platform that need to be organized.
- Head over to My Campaigns: This is the central hub in the Wavo self-serve platform where you can tag, organize and sort your new campaign data.
- Load your campaigns: Make sure that the campaigns you'd like to apply automatic tagging to are loaded and visible on the page.
- Click the automated tagging lightbulb: This button in the right-hand corner will apply all of the available suggested tags to your campaigns in draft.
- Verify the newly applied draft tags: It is important to make sure that the applied labels are correct.
- Save the tags: Once you have verified that the tags are correct, click the save button at the bottom of the page to apply the tags to your campaign.
- Verify your changes: Your campaign tags should now be gray, signifying that they have been saved to their corresponding campaigns.
It's that easy! By following these steps, you can quickly and easily apply artist and ISRC tags to your marketing campaigns using the automated tagging button.
Using tagged data in the Wavo Platform
Perhaps the most significant benefit of using automated tagging is the increased efficiency and accuracy in tagging marketing campaigns. With the automated tagging button, users can quickly and easily apply artist tags and ISRC tags to their campaigns without the need for manual input. This saves time and reduces the risk of errors. No more loading artist information, or searching other sites for ISRC codes.
With well-labeled data, users can take advantage of other features in the Wavo platform like the benchmark dashboard, where they can understand their marketing impact at a high level and add context to their campaigns. With the ability to filter and analyze campaigns by artist and ISRC tags, users can gain a better understanding of which campaigns are most effective and make more informed decisions about future campaigns.
